This initial step is dwarfed by the problem's magnitude. Expanding this planting to 36,000 or more hectares is a vital contribution to restoring what has been lost. This action directly counters rural poverty and insurgency, by revitalizing rural economies by providing jobs, income and mobility in remote areas that will supply raw materials like bamboo resin for plastic replacements and securing energy independence just to name a few. Crucially, it forms the cornerstone of an antifragile circular economy, protecting our environment, oceans, air quality, water resources, and food security, and actively mitigating and reversing climate change. Beyond these, it delivers sustainable solutions for housing, building, and construction, and produces advanced industrial materials vital for transportation, renewable wind energy, and future technologies.
